The RealCare II plus Model
The RealCare Baby II plus is the latest model of
virtual baby from Realityworks.
RealCare Baby II plus Babies are just as demanding as
real babies, and when used within an appropriate framework,
provide students with the most realistic parenting simulation
available. Uniquely, they need feeding, burping, rocking,
nappy changing and require their heads to be gently supported,
and the carer has to determine the care needed. A wireless ID
is worn on the wrist of the student, and allows the Baby to
communicate with the student.
The Baby monitors the quality of care it receives, and reports
on the numbers of times each type of care was provided. The
Baby also records the number and times of failed requests for
care, as well as frequency of wrong position, rough handling
and shaking.
The Baby can be programmed up to 7 days in advance, can be
programmed to respond to one or two caregivers, and can be put
into day care when the student cannot provide care.

The Control Centre Software
The Control Centre Software allows you to wirelessly program
multiple Babies at once, with handy drop-down menus, monitor
the progress of individual simulations, check the batter
charge, status, automatically retrieve data, create detailed
simulation reports, customise the simulation and more! It
comes with a blue communication Pod and USB cable that
connects to your computer, and communicates wirelessly when
the Babies are within 50 feet.
This latest model requires no batteries and is recharged by
simply plugging directly into a wall socket.
Upgrading from a RealCare II (with
batteries)
But, if you have an older model RealCare II with batteries,
you can upgrade that model to a plus very easily. The
upgrade kit includes one RealCare II plus electronics
board and battery module with a new battery cover and wall
charger. No more batteries! |
